As well as bringing the children to Ireland, we also help out in the village of Logishen. We have approximately 30 invalids who get clothing and money from us, thanks to Alah. In the same village we look after a Half-Way House in conjunction with Thurles and Nenagh. This is a new development since 2003. We have bought furniture, bedding, kitchen equipment, clothing and shoes for children, as well as vitamin supplements. There are around twenty children living here, between three and four years of age. These children are in transition - they either return home or go on to an orphanage.
During the past years representatives from our committee have visited Pinsk and Logishan about twelve times. We have one special invalid child, Tatiana, who lives outside Logishan. She cannot walk and her hands are growing inwards towards her elbows. Cloughjordan branch bought her a computer and she can do everything with it. The house in which she lives with her mother is structurally unsound and the heating is inadequate. In conjunction with Nenagh and Thurles we are in the process of renovating the house. We also have a number of smaller projects in progress.
